HillBoyz Wing and Burger Bar is opening a second location this summer, What Now Memphis previously reported, and new details have since emerged.
Owned by Loard and Tabitha Cole, the new restaurant will be located at 109 S. Worthington Drive in West Memphis, Arkansas. The couple is hosting a soft launch this weekend ahead of a grand opening celebration on June 30, which will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.
“It’s a labor of love and passion,” Thanyi Muir, a consultant with Heartland who has been working with the Coles on workforce management, told What Now Memphis.
The restaurant’s identity is deeply personal to the owners and reflects their story. The red and black color theme is inspired by Tabitha, whom Loard affectionately calls “Red,” while vintage toy cars—one of Loard’s longtime interests—will be displayed throughout the space.
The new location will include ample indoor seating, a bar and a private event room. A patio with tables and umbrellas will offer additional outdoor seating during warmer months.
The menu features a variety of burgers, from single to triple patties, topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions, pickles, and mayo, with optional bacon. One local favorite is “The Memphian,” which includes a burger patty, cheese, bacon, tangy barbecue sauce, crispy onions, and a toasted bun.
HillBoyz also serves a range of cheesesteaks, including “The Sunriser,” topped with a fried egg, and “The Dynamic Duo,” made with steak and shrimp. Jumbo wings, fries, and onion rings round out the menu.
The original HillBoyz Wing and Burger Bar location remains open at 3711 Lamar Ave. in Memphis.
