With two restaurants currently in operation—at 4843 W Kennedy Blvd in Tampa and at 3260 US Hwy 98 N in Lakeland—Curry Leaves Fine Indian Cuisine is preparing to upgrade its Tampa outpost. Tampa’s Curry Leaves will relocate this August to 204 Westshore Plaza.
“The new location will be 8,000 square feet,” owner Saji Mathew told What Now on Tuesday. “There will be two private rooms, one that can hold up to 50, and another for about 12 to 14.”
The space, Mathew says, will also feature an open kitchen and a full bar.
The food on offer will be the same great dishes drawn from various regions of India (“all over, from north to south,” Mathew says), with proteins like chicken, lamb, beef, goat, and even quail—plus plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians. And on weekends, Curry Leaves will offer a killer buffet.
Some new menu items are also to be expected, but they’re being kept under wraps for now. “It’s going to be great,” Mathew said.
“A Culinary Journey from India to Florida,” says a description on the Curry Leaves Fine Indian Cuisine website. “Curry Leaves uses traditional Indian culinary recipes with an infusion of complex, chef-inspired flavors to deliver the most authentic award-winning Indian cuisine to you!”
