Harland Brewing Company is expanding its footprint with a new restaurant set to open in the 4S Ranch neighborhood of Rancho Bernardo, located at 16480 Paseo Del Sur, Suite 105.
The new 3,400-square-foot space, formerly the home of Waypoint Public in the Del Sur Town Center, will feature a full kitchen and offer a broader and more diverse menu than that available at South Park, according to SD Beer News. The company, led by President Anthony Levas, aims to open the new location before the end of the year. This follows the company’s entry into the restaurant business in 2022, when it opened its first eatery in South Park by converting the former Grants Market & Coffee Room.
To lead its culinary growth, Harland has hired Scott Cannon as Director of Culinary Operations. Cannon brings extensive experience from previous roles at L’Auberge Del Mar, Jake’s Del Mar, Delicias, and nearly a decade as executive chef at Cork & Craft in Rancho Bernardo. He will oversee menu development and kitchen operations at both the South Park and 4S Ranch locations. Harland’s leadership sees Cannon’s hiring as a key move to elevate the food program to match the quality of its beer offerings.
Both locations are designed to serve as family-friendly, community-oriented spaces. The company is focused on creating consistent dining experiences while expanding its brand beyond craft beer. The addition of food to its business model reflects Harland’s long-term strategy to diversify and strengthen its presence in the competitive craft brewing and restaurant markets.
