Rock’N Deli, the popular Montreal-style smoked meat chain, is bringing its signature halal smoked meat sandwiches to Espace Montmorency in Laval.
Franchise owner Charbel Helou, who also operates the successful Rock’N Deli location at Carrefour Laval, will lead the new franchise. A representative from the company tells What Now Montreal that the Espace Montmorency location is expected to open in mid-September 2025, adding to the brand’s growing footprint in Quebec and Ontario.
A separate location is expected to open in Ottawa at the end of this month under franchisees Mohamad Farhat and his brother, Ahmad Farhat. Additionally, a corporate-owned restaurant is set to open soon at Square One in Mississauga, with an anticipated opening in August.
Known for its authentic Montreal smoked meat, slow-cooked for 12 days, Rock’N Deli offers a diverse menu that includes smash burgers, poutines, wraps, salads, submarines, and more. The brand first launched in 1992 in the food court at Carrefour Laval and began franchising in 2015. Today, it operates over 13 locations across the region with continued expansion planned into key markets.
The upcoming Espace Montmorency restaurant will mark Helou’s second Rock’N Deli location, reinforcing his commitment to the brand and to serving high-quality old-fashioned smoked meat based on a 30-year-old family recipe.
With increasing demand and a loyal customer base, Rock’N Deli continues to stand out in the competitive deli space thanks to its bold flavor profiles, premium ingredients, and strong franchise support.
Laval residents and visitors will soon have a new spot to satisfy their smoked meat cravings with no trip to Montreal’s downtown core required.
