The Chai Box recently announced that the brand has taken a lease in Buckhead for its first brick-and-mortar cafe. However, the brand has also shared that the 625-square-foot space will feature a retail section at the spot at 1963 Howell Mill Road in addition to a cafe, according to a release shared with What Now Atlanta.

The retail space will feature products from The Chai Box’s current offerings. The Chai Box has been functioning as an online store and wholesaler since 2017, when founder Monica Sunny launched the brand based on family tradition and recipes.

The curated retail section will feature The Chai Box’s entire product line as well as a selection of other carefully chosen brands, with emphasis on local, women-owned and minority-owned businesses.

The Chai Box sells a variety of chai concentrates, loose-leaf blends and spices online, which customers can expect to see in the shop. The brand prioritizes providing healthy, environmentally-conscious products, offering single-origin, small-batch chai products with sustainable packaging.

The shop and cafe will honor Sunny’s Indian heritage and aim to create community around one of her beloved family traditions: sharing chai.

The spot will open later this year.
