Fresh Kitchen, the fast-casual concept “where healthy food is fast, flavorful and customizable,” lost its South Howard flagship location one year ago this month, to a fire. At the time, the brand was just short of reaching its 10th anniversary.
“In the month since,” says a press release put out this week, “the team has been intentional in reimagining the flagship not only as the original Fresh Kitchen, but as a symbol of the brand’s mission to re-imagine healthy eating, in a way that enables communities access to high quality, scratch made foods conveniently.”
Now, brand has announced, it’s gearing up to launch its new flagship, in the space formerly occupied by Ducky’s Sports Lounge, at 1719 W Kennedy Blvd. The new flagship will be twice the size of the average Fresh Kitchen, and it’s a bold first step on the path to the next ten years, during which time Fresh Kitchen plans to open “50 remarkable restaurants that create opportunities for humans and embody their commitment to excellence.”
The Fresh Kitchen menu offers food that is 100% Gluten-Free with no processed sugars, offering antibiotic-free and hormone-free meats along with plant-based options. Its bowls come with proteins like Grilled Citrus Chicken, Almond Baked Chicken, Herb Grilled Steak, Chilled Caprese Tofu, and more, and they can be topped with sauces like Creamy White Ginger, Herb Balsamic Vinaigrette, and Housemade Sriracha.
“Fresh Kitchen was created with a big idea – Every ingredient will be made FRESH in our KITCHEN,” says the Fresh Kitchen website. “But that was too many words for a sign, so ‘Fresh Kitchen’ was born. We believe that high-quality, healthy food can be fast, fresh, and FUN.”
