Sporting events can be prohibitively expensive, but an L.A. based “shared-reality” concept is setting out to make sure that DC visitors never miss the big game-or the experience of cheering on the home team with a group. Cosm is actively seeking potential locations within the District, reports the Washington Business Journal.
A specific location has not yet been selected for the DMV’s inaugural Cosm location, however the company is specifically targeting 40,000 to 80,000 square foot locations in Southeast DC. A timeline is, of course, difficult to ascertain, as the chain is still pursuing the real estate for its District home.
Cosm will be a wholly unique experience for many visitors; the website explains what lies in store, stating: “Redefining the fan experience across live sports, entertainment, art, and education. Reimagining how you connect and share it with others. Reaching beyond the limits of what’s possible.”
Of particular note to What Now readers is the fact that the concept features a sports bar component, certain to enhance game day.
