A taste of the East Coast is making its way to Rancho Cordova.
Pan Bagels is gearing up to open at 4022 Sunrise Blvd, Suite 110, with a menu centered around New York-style bagels, made fresh daily. The new eatery is a partnership between local husband-and-wife operators Savina and Richard D’Souza—longtime community members since 2004—and Jen and Sothoan So, who run Star Donuts in Jackson.
Savina told What Now Sacramento that the concept was born out of a desire to bring fresh, high-quality breakfast options to her neighborhood. “I always wanted to bring something to the community here in terms of breakfast, because I noticed there was nothing like that in this area,” she said.
Along with bagels, the shop will serve scratch-made donuts, deli-style breakfast and lunch sandwiches, basic coffee drinks, and refreshing boba drinks—one of the biggest draws, according to Savina. “We’ve had so many kids stop by asking about the boba,” she laughed. “It’s definitely going to be a spotlight.” Pan Bagels will also offer catering for breakfast and lunch gatherings.
The space includes two adjoining suites. The main storefront occupies roughly 1,400 square feet, while the adjacent suite is slated to become a production and seating expansion in the coming months. A glass partition will allow guests to watch as fresh bagels are being shaped and baked.
“Pan Bagels is your one-stop shop for delicious mornings and satisfying midday cravings!” the shop’s Google business page proclaims. “Whether you’re starting your day with a fresh bagel and coffee, picking up a sweet treat, or cooling down with your favorite boba flavor, Pan Bagels has something for everyone. Our menu is designed to satisfy commuters, families, students, and food lovers of all ages.”
Pan Bagels will operate daily from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with hours potentially extended into the evening if there’s demand for boba.
While construction is complete, the team is still awaiting final inspections and a few finishing touches before announcing a soft opening date. Be sure to follow Pan Bagels on Facebook for official opening day updates.
“Rancho Cordova is an amazing city,” said Savina. “We are excited to be part of the community.”
