Popular South Broadway sports bar Joe Willy’s is preparing to enhance its presence with an outdoor renovation. According to permitting documents, the venue, which is located at 1310 S Broadway, will be adding a large patio space on the north side of the building.
Co-owner Ryan Fleming confirmed the project to What Now Denver. He said that permits are expected to be approved soon, and then they will start construction. His hope is that the patio will be ready for use by the start of football season. The business will remain open during construction.
Plans submitted to the City of Denver show the new patio will include a sun shade structure manufactured by Awning Company of America, along with a new concrete slab, two half-walls, one full wall, and a new doorway connecting the patio to the bar interior. Contractor Tom Warner will oversee the structural additions.
Joe Willy’s, which What Now covered last year, opened in 2024 in the former Pasquini’s building. Co-owned by brothers Ryan and Matt Fleming, the two transformed the space into a vibrant, two-level venue with a full bar on each floor and a menu built around smashburgers, Midwestern tavern-style pizza, and Chicago-inspired appetizers and sandwiches.
