Soulland Lab, the eclectic DIY art studio in Old Towne Orange, is expanding its creative offerings to include food and beverage service for guests. The business, located at 162 N Glassell St Unit B, will soon debut a new on-site bar and café, according to its website.
With unique paint-and-sip experiences, pottery painting, and tote design classes, there are over 60 customizable art options. The addition of the café will give guests the opportunity to sip wine, beer, or cocktails while they paint, as well as indulge in treats like Dole Whip.
The announcement is part of the business’s continued growth under the direction of founder and owner Mike A. Salas. He is a Mexican-American Army veteran and artist who launched the studio with just $200 and a dream. Business records show he created the company in 2023.
Soulland Lab is currently open to the public Thursday through Sunday, while Monday through Wednesday is reserved for private events. They also do tribute nights and fundraising workshops, serving local causes like CHOC. Beyond the studio, Soulland also operates mobile and pop-up creative events across Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Inland Empire.
