Birdhouse Wingerie & Bar, a Montreal-based elevated wing and bar concept, is opening a third location in downtown Montreal.

The company has secured a new site downtown, with plans to open in spring 2026, according to Retail Insider. Customers can expect the same elevated wing-focused menu and vibrant atmosphere that have defined Birdhouse’s first two locations. The downtown restaurant will offer a full-service experience featuring high-quality food, creative cocktails, and a strong focus on hospitality. This marks Birdhouse’s third location, following the January 2025 opening of its Centropolis, Laval restaurant, which has seen strong customer response since launch.

“We opened our doors in January of 2025. And the response has been incredibly good,” co-founder and president Lorne Schwartz tells Retail Insider. “It’s just a great vibe. I think the brand fits perfectly with the demographics there.”

The original West Island location opened four years ago and helped establish Birdhouse as a unique concept in Montreal’s food scene, with wings as the core menu item rather than a side dish. The brand has positioned itself as a higher-end alternative to traditional sports bars and has attracted a broad customer base. Birdhouse is also exploring new concepts, including a potential quick-service model with a streamlined menu aimed at denser urban locations. Schwartz noted the company may look to raise funding in 2026 to accelerate expansion.

“As long as we stay focused on the brand—which is high-quality food in a fun and vibrant setting—and really give unreasonably good hospitality and service, people are gravitating toward it,” Schwartz tells Retail Insider.

With no direct competitors in Montreal’s wing-forward dining niche, Birdhouse plans to continue expanding while staying true to its concept.
