Popular menu items served at YinTang included enoki mushrooms, hot pot dishes with choy, and beef bone soup.
However, in a recent inspection carried out by the County of Los Angeles Public Health, the food establishment scored less than 70. YinTang’s score and temporary suspension were based on violations, including vermin infestation.
Inspection Findings
YinTang Restaurant was cited for sanitation violations in its toilet area. Inspectors of the County of Los Angeles Public Health observed missing supplies at the handwash sinks. The Chinese restaurant’s food contact surfaces required sanitation as well.
The person in charge (PIC) was instructed to obtain approval for any remodeling. The on-site inspectors next observed inadequate lighting and ventilation at the L.A. food establishment. YinTang Restaurant’s walls, floors, and ceilings were found to be in poor condition.
Wiping cloths were improperly stored, and trash disposal was found to be inadequate. Garbage requires proper disposal as well. The food inspectors further reported that YinTang Restaurant had a vermin infestation.
The on-site inspectors highlighted improper food storage at the Chinese establishment. Utensils at YinTang Restaurant were not in good repair, alongside dirty nonfood-contact surfaces. Inspectors found food items that were contaminated or not safe for consumption.
