The Devil’s Drink, a cocktail bar known for its massive espresso martini lineup, is relocating from its original Mariposa Street spot to a new space at 1553 Platte St., Suite 102. It was announced by the business last month in a fun, horror movie trailer-style video that operations will move this fall.

Owner Andrew Harris, a Culinary Institute of America alum, first opened the bar in the summer of 2023. Denver Business Journal reports The Devil’s Drink will open at its new address in September, joining several other incoming businesses on Platte St. It will be hiring for additional positions, expanding its current team of five.

Its new digs are a 5,700-square-foot property — more than quadruple the size of the current location. It will have a kitchen for small plates and a “dungeon-y, speakeasy vibe” with booth seating, a red-lit 25-foot bar, a coffin photo booth, and a pool hall with six tournament-style tables. A press release shared by the brand states construction is currently underway.

“We look forward to giving The Devil’s Drink and its guests the space that it deserves. The heart and soul of our business is through the wonderful staff we have and the amazing guests that have helped us get to this point,” said Harris.

The bar is known primarily for its gothic-chic atmosphere and espresso martini lineup — with 15+ specialty variations. It also serves cheekily named cocktails, canned beers, and premium spirits.
