Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain is adding a brand-new sports bar to its lineup this fall.

Located at 3317 Forty Mile Rd in Wheatland, the upcoming Hard Rock Sacramento Sports Bar will broadcast up to 20 sporting events at once on a massive, immersive video wall, complete with a 24/7 ticker displaying live scores, according to the company’s website.

The venue will seat 82 guests and sit near the entrance of Hard Rock Live, at the north end of the casino floor. Guests can kick back with a cocktail or relax in the dedicated cigar lounge while taking in memorabilia from iconic athletes with ties to the region. The bar will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., though food won’t be served on site.

While sports betting remains illegal in California, the bar is being designed with the hope that legislation will eventually change.

“In the future, you’ll be able to walk up to a kiosk, be able to walk up to a sports betting window,” said Mark Birtha, president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, in an interview with The Sacramento Bee. “These are all things that need to be vetted and approved and regulated and then, you know, offered, but they can be done hopefully at a bricks-and-mortar-type location.”

Hard Rock Sacramento Sports Bar is slated to open in October 2025.
