An awarded, large-scale Dunkin’ franchisee is growing its empire in the Centennial state. Ohio-based Gilligan Company confirmed exclusively to What Now Denver that it is working on a store in the city of Wheat Ridge.

A statement from a company representative told the publication it will open next year, but the timeframe is still TBD, and an address was not disclosed. It will follow a Thornton store that opens in early 2026, as we reported on a few weeks ago.

“We chose the Denver market due to the fact that it’s a strong market for coffee, and very community-oriented. All of this aligns with our goals,” Gilligan Company said.

The multi-unit operator won the title of 2024 Dunkin’ Franchisee of the Year. It also runs the Westminster and Loveland locations, according to 9 News. In addition to Dunkin’, the corporation also manages several locations of Popeyes, Subway, and GOCO in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
