A new cocktail lounge is slated to open in Boulder, and it’s coming from a team that’s known for establishing popular bars in town. According to community posts, it will be located at 623 South Broadway, Suite A, and be called Siren.

The team behind Siren is Jake Novotny, Yoav Monjack, and Cassidy Bradley. The trio is also responsible for Pearl Street’s Jungle Rum Bar, a tiki-themed venue which 5280 reports opened in 2019. Siren will blend coastal and nautical vibes; its logo features a mermaid.

This week, a liquor license was approved, and notice was posted at the property. It’s located beneath Neptune Mountaineering in the Table Mesa Shopping Center. The suite used to house Under the Sun, but that restaurant shuttered due to COVID’s effect on the F&B industry.

Cassidy told What Now Denver that major construction work will start soon, and they hope to open this fall. In addition to alcohol, the business will serve light snacks —  things like tinned fish and fresh bread. It will be open Monday through Thursday from 4 to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 4 PM to midnight, and closed on Sunday.

“We’re very excited about our next project! We have been looking for a second space for over 2 years and are so happy to have this opportunity. When we were informed of the space in South Boulder, we jumped at the chance,” she added. “We think it will be a nice compliment to the incredible businesses that have made the area what it is today.”
