Chubby Cattle BBQ is preparing to fire up its grills in the San Fernando Valley, with a new location set to open soon at 6600 Topanga Canyon BoulevardSuite 1010 B, in Canoga Park.

The restaurant will open its newest location in the former home of Gyu-Kaku at Westfield Topanga, according to the company’s website. When this location opens, customers can expect to experience its signature blend of premium meats, tech-forward service, and immersive design, introduced to the neighborhood.

The brand is renowned for elevating the all-you-can-eat experience with house-sourced Wagyu beef, smokeless grills, and cutting-edge features, including robot servers and 5D projection dining rooms. The Canoga Park location will continue that tradition, offering diners everything from American and Australian Wagyu to the highly prized Japanese A5 Wagyu in a sleek, modern setting.

Previously, What Now Los Angeles reported that Chubby Cattle was expanding into Cerritos, with a new location expected to open in Spring 2025 at 11203 183rd St. That site has yet to open, and the company is also working on a new restaurant in Irvine at 2710 Alton Parkway.

Founded in Las Vegas in 2014, Chubby Cattle began with a hotpot concept focused on house-made broths, fresh ingredients, and communal dining. Since then, the brand has expanded across the United States with three concepts: Chubby Cattle Hotpot, Chubby Cattle Shabu, and Chubby Cattle BBQ. Its flagship store is located in Rowland Heights.

At each location, the brand combines authentic Asian flavors with state-of-the-art dining technology. Whether grilling Wagyu BBQ or swishing shabu shabu, the focus remains on quality, innovation, and hospitality.

The new Canoga Park location is part of a larger expansion that includes additional sites in Santa Clara, Milpitas, Schaumburg, Austin, San Antonio, and Honolulu. No official opening date has been announced; however, construction is currently underway.
