La Lupita Taco & Mezcal, a popular Baja-style taco bar originally from Los Cabos, is getting ready to open a new location in Scottsdale’s Old Town in early 2026.

The company’s newest location is set to open following the debut of its first U.S. restaurant in Dallas this winter, according to a press release issued by La Lupita Taco & Mezcal. Although a specific address for the Scottsdale location has not yet been confirmed, the expansion marks a significant step in the company’s entry into the U.S. market. Both locations are part of a larger plan to introduce the brand’s signature food and drink experience to a broader audience.

Known for its lively cantina atmosphere, La Lupita has been recognized by GOOP, Condé Nast Traveler, and Marie Claire for its creative taco menu and extensive selection of mezcal. Dishes include bold options like wagyu beef tacos and grasshoppers, as well as hand-pressed tortillas and mezcal-forward cocktails. The brand blends traditional street food flavors with a modern twist, aiming to deliver what Condé Nast Traveler called an unforgettable night out.

La Lupita’s Scottsdale location is expected to reflect the same high-energy, festive style as the original locations in Mexico and the upcoming Dallas restaurant. The company’s press release notes that the Dallas opening will include taco tastings, mezcal mixology showcases, live music, and chef-curated pairings, elements that may also be part of the Scottsdale launch experience.

With the expansion to Dallas and Scottsdale, La Lupita Taco & Mezcal looks to bring the essence of its Los Cabos roots to U.S. diners. The restaurant aims to capture the same celebratory vibe and culinary authenticity that have made it a standout destination in Mexico’s dining scene.
