Godunk is slated to join the East Village community soon, with plans to open at 332 Bowery. A recent Instagram post teases that “you’ll taste it soon,” though an exact opening timeline remains unknown.

Godunk will serve Thai street food. Its Instagram page describes it as “born from a love of bold flavor, big energy, analog soul” and as “more than just a place to eat, it’s a vibe.”

Chef Nate Lim, known for Michelin-recognized restaurant Chalong, is one of the co-founders behind Godunk. Chalong opened in Hell’s Kitchen in 2022 and specializes in Southern Thai cuisine and seafood. Menu items at Chalong include deboned fried whole fish with sweet fish sauce; curry; duck confit; and noodle and rice dishes like squid ink fried rice.

For now, details surrounding Godunk’s menu remain unknown.

Lim confirmed the forthcoming location in a phone call with What Now New York but was not immediately available to provide further details.
