Colorado Springs is set to welcome another Dave’s Hot Chicken — this one at 5860 Barnes Road. According to the company’s website, it is “coming soon”, though an opening date has not yet been announced.

The restaurant is being brought to the area by JH Foods Ltd., a family-owned franchise group led by Jay Hafemeister and his father, Jim Hafemeister. The two originally brought the first Dave’s Hot Chicken to the area two years ago, the Gazette writes, and are also multi-unit Carl’s Jr. operators.

It will occupy a 2,500-square-foot space featuring a drive-thru near the intersection of Barnes and Powers and be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The establishment will employ about 60 workers, and job postings show the brand was recently hiring for shift leaders. Training is currently taking place.

The fast-growing Nashville-style fried chicken franchise started in 2017, with humble beginnings as a parking lot stand. It has since expanded worldwide, with over 700 locations from Denver to Dubai, and has investors including hip-hop star Drake and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
