Ohgane Korean BBQ is known for dishes such as tteokbokki, beef bulgogi, and seafood pancake. Health officials reported several violations during the August 15 inspection.
An employee at Ohgane Korean BBQ was drinking from an open cup near the main kitchen prep area. The manager was thereby instructed to ask their staff member to wash their hands after using a personal drink.
A paper towel was absent inside the dispenser on the right side of the hand sink next to the side dishes area. The Korean facility also lacked paper towels inside its back employee restroom. Inspectors noted that a sanitizer bucket was missing.
Potentially hazardous foods, such as japchae, cooked broccoli, shrimp tempura, fish cake, and more, were observed out of proper holding temperature. Ohgane Korean BBQ kept the items at room temperature, violating the required limit of at or below 41°F or at or above 135°F.
Inspectors found multiple sauce buckets stored on the floor. Ladles were stored in a bucket of stagnant water at the cook’s line of Ohgane Korean BBQ. Mop heads were stored inside the mop sink at the food facility without air drying.

Follow-up Inspection
According to the inspection report, the department will return for a reinspection within the next 24 to 72 hours due to the receipt of the yellow placard. Ohgane Korean BBQ must address the food safety concerns by then to get a green placard.
