The Thibodeaux-based Off The Hook seafood chain has been growing rapidly in the past couple of years, and the regional Cajun chain is planning to open its further west location at 101 Liberty Ave. in Lafayette. The company has filed a certificate of occupancy with the Lafayette Consolidated Government for the address, which used to be home to an all-day breakfast spot. The company currently has eight locations stretching from Zachary in the north to Thibodeaux in the south. In October, What Now New Orleans reported on the location that opened in Denham Springs.

Off The Hook CEO Paxton Moreaux recently told Daily Report that the company plans a significant expansion over the next decade. The chief executive said the plan is to have 60 or more locations open in the next ten years, with a primary focus on Louisiana.
