In an uncertain world, very little is more reliably comforting than a great plate of pasta. While it may be the scourge of carb counters, the dish has endured so long and so consistently because it is, quite simply, delicious. With the power of pasta firmly in mind, a brand-new concept is bringing the beloved favorite to DC. A restaurant called Gigi’s Pasta has filed for a liquor license for a Western Market storefront, promising diners will soon be able to enjoy the titular item to their heart’s content.

Gigi’s Pasta is opening at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Space #3. A great deal of information is not presently available about the restaurant-owner Stephanos Andreou kindly confirmed to What Now DC that an announcement is forthcoming-however the liquor license placard does provide some insight as to what’s in store.

According to the paperwork filed with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, Gigi’s will be able to accommodate up to 100 guests. The hours of operation cited on the application are 10 am to 11 pm, Sundays through Saturday.

While some mystery remains about the concept, What Now DC will be following the eatery’s progress and prepared to provide updates as they become available.
