New neighbors are always cause for celebration, particularly when they come bearing pastries and coffee. Exciting news, then, for Memphis diners; franchise rock star Chris Kramolis is developing Beignets and Brew locations in DeSoto and Shelby Counties, reports the Memphis Business Journal.
Kramolis generously made some time to tell What Now Memphis about bringing the Florida-based chain to Memphis residents. He explains that while he is busy with current endeavors, the new sites are just over the horizon, saying: “We are about to open our first location in Little Rock in September and then plan on more central Arkansas locations. We will begin looking at real estate in Memphis in Q1 2026.”
Kramolis is vetting potential partners for the project. He states: “We are currently reviewing potential franchise partners to develop Shelby and DeSoto county and will continue until we find the right fit.“
Kramolis and his team are remaining open to different potential storefronts for Beignets and Brew’s inaugural Memphis location. “We do not have a specific area to target for location #1, but instead will review all the available real estate opportunities and select based on site characteristics and deal economics.”
While there is no shortage of sweet shops populating the dining scene, Beignets and Brew sets itself apart with its titular dish. While beignets are similar to donuts, they are entirely their own food, and the restaurant will be providing an exciting alternative for foodies hungry for some French flair.
Locals won’t have to wait too long to sink their teeth into the chain’s delicious treats; while an exact timeline is not presently available for openings, Kramolis states: “We are very excited about Beignets & Brew in the Memphis market and our goal is to have 8 operational units within 36 months.”
