Though Van Leeuwen Ice Cream just debuted in Georgia earlier this summer at Ponce City Market, the New York-based ice cream chain is far from slowing down in Atlanta. Already, it has announced a new location heading to Dunwoody. Now, a third location is in a pipeline for the market as Van Leeuwen plans to open at The Forum Peachtree Corners, taking a 1,100-square-foot space at the center, according to reporting by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta. They report that the shop could open by the end of 2025.

Van Leeuwen has been in expansion mode across the country, breaking into markets like Florida and Nashville. Locations are in the works from coast to coast, including additional locations in California, Virginia and Colorado. The ice cream brand is also planning to debut in several new markets soon, including Charlotte and Chicago.

Existing locations include spots in New York, California, New Jersey, Texas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Washington, D.C.

The brand finds its roots on the streets of New York City, where founders Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill started scooping ice cream in a yellow ice cream truck. Since its inception, Van Leeuwen has placed emphasis on simple ingredients — milk, cream, eggs and cane sugar — to craft its popular recipes. It dishes out unique flavors, including dulce de leche brownie, malted cookie dough shake, peanut butter brownie honeycomb and lemon poppyseed muffin.

Ice cream offerings include scoops, bars and sandwiches. The brand also offers vegan-friendly ice cream options.
