According to recent reporting, a new brewery is set to breathe life into a well-known Ivanhoe Village space.
Hyperbolic Brewing Co. will open next June at 1235 N. Orange Ave., the former home of The Hammered Lamb restaurant and bar.
Owner Max Furth told Orlando Business Journal he signed a 10-year lease for the site. Coming up will be a full renovation and is seeking a food partner to complement the brewery’s offerings.
“There will be a thorough renovation of everything,” Furth said. The left side of the space will house the brewhouse, while the right side will stay roughly the same, but with a major kitchen overhaul, he added.
Furth had been searching for a permanent location for more than three years before the Hammered Lamb space became available. “The walkability is great, and I live fairly close to the area,” he said. “It’s a great neighborhood.”
While preparing for the 2026 opening, Furth also is raising his young son and running a painting company. He plans to share updates on the buildout via Hyperbolic Brewing’s social media channels.
“We’re aiming to open in Quarter Two,” Furth recently told What Now.
When asked about the potential partners that will serve up the cuisine, Furth doesn’t specify.
“We have some ideas but we haven’t set anything in stone.”
And what about the potential aesthetics or design of the newly renovated interior?
“We’re not quite sure on that yet. It’ll be a pretty significant renovation; but I hope we’ll keep the same.”
