Winston Pies, a bakery specializing in handcrafted mini pies, is opening a new location in a new market. Desert Sun reports the brand will broaden its reach from the busy streets of LA to the Coachella Valley community, moving in at 73-061 El Paseo, Suite 200 in Palm Desert.

Located at the Shops at El Paseo, the area’s premier retail strip, this will be the fifth location for the business. It currently operates four other locations in Brentwood, Marina del Rey, Studio City, and Santa Monica.

Founder Brianna Abrams always had a love for baking, but ended up going to law school and becoming an attorney. But she continued her passion for pies on the side, doing custom orders for parties, corporate events, and weddings through a company she called ButterCrust Pies. Eventually, her success led her to open Winston Pies in 2017, Forbes shared.

The concept makes all its desserts from scratch using fresh, local, and organic ingredients, with seasonal, vegan, and gluten-free choices. Pies come in full-size, slices, and its famous 2.5-inch PieBites, and yummy flavor options like  Cherry, Strawberry Shortcake, Banana Cream, Passion Fruit Meringue, Chocolate Eclair Crunch, Peach-Blackberry-Raspberry, and Cookie Dough.

A timeline for when the new store will welcome guests is unknown. The mall’s website simply announces that the new tenant is “coming soon”, and the company did not return requests for details or comment before publication.
