Vietnamese baguette chain Boban is continuing its rapid growth trajectory, with the recent announcement that the brand will open a corporate-owned store in December in Lake Forest. According to a press release, it will be situated at 20702 Lake Forest Drive, at the bustling One Stop Commercial Center.

This location represents a key milestone in Boban’s formidable expansion strategy. What Now OC has covered several recent announcements of pending stores, including Cypress, Garden Grove, and Fountain Valley. Several more are also in the pipeline for the LA area, its website shows.

“Lake Forest is the perfect launchpad for our South Orange County expansion. We’re thrilled to bring Boban’s fresh and modern take on Vietnamese baguettes to this vibrant community and can’t wait to welcome our first guests this December,” Kim Bui, Managing Partner of Boban Lake Forest and Director of Sales of Boban Franchising, told the publication.

Bui is leading this expansion alongside her investment group. Overall, she plans to open seven Boban locations across Southern California, with Irvine identified as the next stop. This marks a major push into South Orange County’s fast-growing food and beverage market, solidifying Boban’s position as a leading innovator in the Vietnamese fast-casual segment.

One Stop Commercial Center is a popular shopping plaza located at the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and El Toro Road. The retail hub has strong traffic exposure, with visibility from highways I-5 and CA-241, and several big-name tenants like Starbucks, Big-O Tires, and the Holiday Inn Express.
