Chuck E. Cheese is preparing to relocate its Huntington Beach location to a brand-new space less than a mile away. According to community posts, the store will move soon from its current home at 15511 Edwards St. over to 15031 Goldenwest St.
A company spokesperson confirmed the plans and told What Now OC that construction is underway, with permits and licensing secured. City records show the brand applied for a conditional use permit for beer and wine sales on-site.
The new Huntington Beach location will have an upgraded arcade, new sports games, a large-format video wall, and an interactive dance floor that hosts The Chuck E. Live! Show. Families can also expect an Adventure Zone, featuring a new Trampoline Zone, and Chuck E.’s Superhero Playground for smaller kids.
It will be an 18,000-square-foot space, and the hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Darlene Rasing, Senior General Manager of the Huntington Beach location, said she’s excited to “open the doors to a brand new store, because the older location has not been remodeled in quite some time. This is a newer version that the community can get involved with.”
The new location will serve the same menu guests are familiar with, the chain’s signature “Cheesy” pizzas, along with fries and cheesy breadsticks. There will also be lighter options through Bella Snack Shop and dessert delivery through a partnership with Great American Cookies, Restaurant Dive reports.
