There is no better way to start a day or a journey than with a great cup of coffee and a superior donut. Unfortunately, travellers haven’t always had the luxury of either sustaining treat. However, one of the DMV’s favorite bakeries is doing its part to send folks passing through the Dulles International Airport on the next leg of their journeys with a full stomach and a smile. Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe has been announced as a new vendor at the venerable transportation hub, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The bakery will be a part of Concourse E, which is currently under construction at the 1 Saarinen Cir airport. While it is not clear precisely when Good Company will begin energizing travellers, Jaimini Erskine, vice president for marketing and concessions at the airports authority, explains that the ball is already rolling. She states: “The designs for these locations have already started, and soon it will be a very fast construction schedule to get all the spaces up and running by the concourse’s opening in September of 2026.”

Good Company Doughnuts has become a rather powerful force in the DMV. The chain currently has four locations-two in DC and two in Arlington, Virginia. The concept has earned a devoted fan-following through its hand-raised doughnuts and specialty coffees. The website explains: “Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is your neighborhood all-day cafe.  Here you’ll find the best handmade doughnuts, excellent specialty coffee and homemade food to delight. The Cafes are a place dedicated to serving the community with a little small town neighborly love.“
