Earlier this year, What Now Sacramento reported that Newport Beach–based dessert franchise Chocolate Bash was eyeing a new home in South Natomas’ Gateway Oaks shopping center, though the exact address hadn’t been revealed. Now we know where to find it.
Franchisee Jahnavi Cherukumalli has confirmed that the upcoming 1,500-square-foot shop will open in a former Togo’s location at 2620 Gateway Oaks Dr, Suite 100, right next door to Starbucks. The new location will be the franchise’s third site in the city.
Launched in 2016, Chocolate Bash has expanded to 14 locations across California and Arizona, plus one in Qatar. Its indulgent menu includes crepes, waffles, pancakes, chocolate-dipped fruit, Dubai chocolate bars, smoothies, milkshakes, and matcha lattes.
Cherukumalli and her father already have experience in the restaurant industry; they’re part of the team behind VJ’s Kitchen, the Indian restaurant that also operates at the Gateway Oaks center.
Although the South Natomas Chocolate Bash was originally slated to debut in September 2025, Cherukumalli said the shop is now scheduled to open sometime in the third week of October. The website currently lists the location as “coming soon,” along with 10 other future stores.
