Goop Kitchen, the healthful, fast-casual restaurant that’s also part of celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop empire, is planning to open a new location at San Diego’s One Paseo, at 3725 Paseo Place. An opening date has not been announced, though it’s anticipated that Goop Kitchen will open sometime in 2026.
Goop Kitchen will move into the former Tender Greens space, according to San Diego realtor Bern McGovern, who covers local restaurant news on his northcounty_sd Instagram page.
A marketing brochure for One Paseo, posted on retailinsite.net, confirms that Goop Kitchen will open a 2,562-square-foot location in Suite 0840 at Building 8 of the mixed-use center.
An extension of Paltrow’s wellness brand, Goop, Goop Kitchen was founded in 2021 as a way to offer healthful meals in a casual takeout and delivery-only model. To this day, all Goop Kitchens offer no dining room service, though select locations offer outdoor patio dining on a first-come, first-served basis.
The restaurant prides itself on using cleaner ingredients, such as organic and free-range chicken, salmon sourced from the fjords of Norway, and local and organic produce whenever possible. Sauces and marinades that are labeled GCC meet the “Goop Certified Clean” standard of “no processed sugars or other foods, gluten, dairy, peanuts, or preservatives.
The menu offers salads, wraps, turkey meatballs, pesto pasta, creamy mac and cheese, and a “Pepperoni Potts” pizza — a play on Paltrow’s Ironman character, Pepper Potts. Heartier fare includes a whole organic rotisserie chicken, herb-roasted salmon, and turkey Bolognese. Goop Kitchen also offers “Goop for You”, a complete meal that includes one main dish (half chicken, herb roasted salmon, or half cauliflower), two sides, two sauces, and one side salad of your choice. A “Goop for Two” meal is also available.
When it opens, the One Paseo location will become the 11th Goop Kitchen in Southern California, and the first in San Diego.
