JeJu Noodle Bar is progressing on its new location heading to Nolita. It is slated to open at 204 Elizabeth Street in spring 2026, according to a progress update posted in August.

The restaurant has been in the works for a while, with JeJu first teasing the plans for a second location late last year.

“After a long and thoughtful search, we’re thrilled to announce that Jeju Noodle Bar has found the perfect new home in the heart of Nolita!” the announcement stated at the time. “This exciting new location has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to introduce fresh dishes and a unique dining experience to this vibrant neighborhood.”

An August post on the JeJu account displayed the early stages of construction underway in the space, and a September post on the brand’s Instagram page highlighted  that the restaurant now has “coming soon” signage up.

Chef Douglas Kim opened the noodle restaurant in the West Village in 2017. The concept “celebrates the art of Korean comfort food,” according to its website. The Korean word Jeju translates to “skill” or “talent,” reflecting the brand’s goal when it comes to culinary creations.

“We’re not a traditional restaurant — we serve our interpretation of dishes rooted in Korean tradition, bringing depth of flavor and culture to the table with the creative spirit of JeJu Noodle Bar style,” the website states.

The spot offers a variety of noodle-based dishes as well as entrees like grilled ocean trout, American Wagyu ribeye and JeJu ribs.

During its time in the West Village, the restaurant has gained acclaim, becoming the first noodle-focused restaurant in the U.S. to earn a Michelin star in 2019.
