A Sonoma County-based steakhouse chain is expanding in the Sacramento area.
Cattlemens Steakhouse is opening its fourth regional restaurant in the former Cicada Cantina space at 9105 W Stockton Blvd in Elk Grove‘s Laguna Gateway shopping mall, according to a press release.
“We are thrilled to be joining the Elk Grove community,” said Cattlemens President Peter Mrozik in a statement. “Elk Grove’s strong sense of place and welcoming spirit make it a perfect fit for Cattlemens. We look forward to serving families there for years to come.”
The new location will feature Cattlemens’ signature hand-cut steaks, “sizzling” prime rib, pork and beef ribs, and fresh seafood, along with a dedicated kids’ menu. Guests can look forward to the restaurant’s Western-style atmosphere, complete with a full bar and private dining spaces for events.
Family-owned and operated since 1968, Cattlemens currently runs seven California locations, including nearby restaurants in Rancho Cordova, Roseville, and Dixon. The company employs more than 500 people statewide, according to the release.
“Our guests have been dining with us for generations,” said Miranda Smith, Director of Marketing and Communications. “We see families who came as kids now bringing their own children and grandchildren. We’re excited to build those same lasting relationships in Elk Grove and partnering with the local communities.”
Cattlemens Elk Grove is slated to debut in the spring of 2026. Once it opens, the roughly 8,000-square-foot restaurant will serve dinner nightly, with private dining available both day and night.
