Flavor Hive, a top DMV-area food truck, has exciting news for DC foodies. The fan-favorite has been making a push into brick-and-mortar spaces, and the District is firmly in its sights. The eatery has filed paperwork to pursue a location in Georgetown, reports the Washington Business Journal.
Flavor Hive has filed a special exception application with the D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment for 3287½ M Street NW. The much buzzed about concept will be taking over the storefront that housed Harmony Cafe until its shut down several years ago. Flavor Hive will be bringing what it refers to as a “true epicurean adventure” to the 1,678 square foot space, which will have seating for up to 20 customers.
Flavor Hive’s Georgetown location will serve customers from 11 am to 10 pm, Monday through Thursday, from 11 am to 2 am Friday through Saturday, and 11 am to 8 pm on Sunday. The restaurant will not offer wait service; guests will order their meals at a counter and can enjoy their food in the dining room or take it to go.
Georgetown residents can look forward to choosing from a range of delicious dishes, including rice bowls, salads, sides and desserts. The website describes the cuisine as an “extraordinary fusion of flavors that will take your taste buds on a world tour like never before.”
An opening timeline is not presently available; What Now DC has reached out to ownership for further information and will update readers as more details emerge.
