The DFW is a foodies’ paradise. The greater Dallas region has a number of highly innovative, deeply creative, and widely lauded restaurants. Still, sometimes nothing beats some Southern comfort food. Fortunately for Little Elm diners, a chain that specializes in just that has the neighborhood in its sights. Waffle House has filed papers to open a new location there next year.
The cult-favorite eatery will be serving up its signature cuisine in a newly constructed building located at 1716 Little Elm Parkway. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to begin on the 1,840 square foot restaurant on October 15 of this year and should be concluded by March 3 of 2026, suggesting Waffle House may be open and ready to feed guests by spring of next year.
Waffle House has become a legend of the hospitality world since its founding in Georgia in 1955. Fans of the chain appreciate both its delicious Southern dishes and the fact that it’s open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. The brand has more than 2,000 locations and has been making a pretty intense push into the DFW over the past year.
