After nearly a year of anticipation, DMV diners will soon be able to say “bonjour” to their next coffee obsession. Maman Cafe, with its feet in New York but its heart in Paris, is preparing to make its Arlington debut later this fall, reports local media outlet ARLNow.
The stylish coffee shop will be greeting guests in a groundfloor storefront in The Commodore apartments building. Maman will be using the 3,000 square foot space, located at 2055 15th Street N, to provide an oasis for the whole family; the inviting cafe “designed with warm vintage details” will have a play area for children alongside flower arrangements provided by Floratorium.
There is not yet a precise opening date set for Maman’s Arlington storefront-originally slated for a summer debut-however co-owner Elissa Marshall is optimistic that the cafe will be customer ready by the end of October. She states that the Maman team is as excited about bringing the coffee shop to the area as future customers are for its arrival, saying “We are beyond excited to bring Maman to Courthouse this October, and kick things off with an opening filled with community, flavor and beauty. Guests can enjoy our full espresso and tea menu alongside house-made pastries and some of our fan-favorite savory dishes, with fun seasonal surprises.”
While Maman is new to Arlington, it is no stranger to the DMV. The chain has 7 locations open and operational in DC, another in Fairfax, and a ninth currently in development in Alexandria.
Arlington foodies can look forward to choosing from a menu full of delicious favorites and Maman originals. Selections range from breakfast brioche and quiche to soups and sandwiches, with-of course-plenty of sweets and pastries to round out a visit.
