Chubby Group Bringing Second Concept to CO

Its latest project is Chubby Cattle BBQ.

A new Wagyu BBQ concept is opening in the SoBo neighborhood: Chubby Cattle BBQ. The sister concept of Chubby Cattle Hot Pot, it will be located just a few blocks away at 99 S Broadway, according to the company’s website, which says it is “coming soon”.

It’s described as a premium Wagyu BBQ concept with table-side grilling. Since launching the spinoff in LA in 2023, the hospitality company has grown it to several metro areas across the country, from Chicago and NYC to Vegas and Atlanta.

This will be the second Chubby Group brand to operate in Colorado. Chubby Cattle Hot Pot, at 2 N Broadway, has been very popular since it first opened in 2018, Eater reports. That is a hot pot and broth eatery with meats, seafood, and veggies.

But Chubby Group has many other brands and a global presence. In addition to the hot pot and BBQ variations, it also owns Chubby Cattle Shabu, Chubby Cattle Sushi, Wagyu House, MIKIYA, Chubby Bowls, Chubby Curry, The X Pot, Niku X, Chubby Skewers, Chubby Don, Chubby Dumplings, Chubby Nori, Chubby Tan, Chubby Tea, and Chubby Foods. Right now, there are about 40 restaurants open and even more in development in its portfolio.
