The Pattana Restaurant Group has steadily emerged as one of the DMV’s most consistent and prolific culinary collectives. Continuing with its expansion plans, the hospitality group is bringing its concept, Dok Khao Thai, to Alexandria, with plans to open before 2026, reports the Washington Business Journal.
The restaurant will be opening in a 4,000 square foot space at 2501 Oakville Street as part of the Oakville Triangle development. A precise opening date is not yet available for Dok Khao’s Alexandria home, however indicators suggest that future customers won’t have to wait much longer to enjoy the eatery’s cuisine. The Oakville-specific Dok Khao webpage lists the opening as fall of 2025, while the brand’s page states that the Alexandria storefront will be up and running in 2026. What Now DC has reached out to ownership for more details and will update readers as information becomes available.
Dok Khao Thai currently has three restaurants up and running in the DMV, located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Columbia, Maryland, and Woodbridge, Virginia. Another location is currently being developed in West Falls Church, Virginia.
The concept has proven popular, thanks to Dok Khao’s commitment to creating a “little slice of Bangkok right here in your neighborhood, where every dish brings a touch of Thai street food magic to your table.”
The expansive menu is certain to have an option to delight every visitor. Oakville foodies can look forward to sampling dishes including a wide range of curries, pad Thai, lemon chicken, and fried rice, among many other delicious selections.
