A beauty supply brand based in Mableton has a location on the way to Atlanta. Zoet Beauty Supply is slated to open at 415 Memorial Dr. SE, Suite A, according to recent permit filings. Co-owner Dana Hawkins told What Now Atlanta that she does not have an opening timeline for the forthcoming location yet, as it will depend on the permitting process.
This spot will be the second brick-and-mortar location for the brand. Hawkins and her co-owner Charis McWhorter launched Zoet Beauty Supply in 2017 with the goal of creating an accessible hair brand for customers with textured hair so they have a place to go for quality products and knowledgeable team members. The first location opened in Mableton in 2019.
Hawkins said they inked the lease for the Atlanta location last year but have experienced delays. However, they are hoping to open soon so they can provide a closer location for their customers in the Atlanta region.
“This location will be expanding into Atlanta. I went to Georgia State, so I want to cater to the college students in that area because we had to drive pretty far out to go to a beauty supply store,” Hawkins said. “I wanted to cater to our customers who do drive from Atlanta, Buckhead and all the places downtown to our Mableton location, to give them somewhere closer to shop. So our goal is to service the community in that area and connect with the Atlanta community.”
