The Taco Bell/KFC location in Ontario may undergo a remodel, construction documents show. While the franchisee stresses that it’s preliminary, official plans have been submitted that suggest an intent to renovate the store, located at 4371 Ontario Mills Parkway.

Documents state that the 2,500-square-foot hybrid concept would be converted into operating solely as a Taco Bell. Interior and exterior demolition would be needed, and then the kitchen, dining, and drive-thru spaces would be reconfigured. Proposed updates include new furniture, LED lighting, flooring, wall finishes, restroom fixtures, and landscaping.

RBD California is the franchisee for this location. A subsidiary of parent company Restaurant Brands New Zealand, the company acquired the store in a 2020 deal with former operator Great American Chicken, Franchise Times reports.

Raziel Valiente-Chung, president of RBD California, told What Now OC that these plans are not confirmed, saying, “The exercise is of preparing drawings and feasibility only and does not mean we have a committed or approved capex for the investment.”
