DC diners are getting a new destination for an upscale night out. RPM Steak, a restaurant which focuses on serving food made with premium ingredients, is coming to the District-though not for a little while, reports the Washington Business Journal.

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is bringing the concept to 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, where it will share a 14,700 square foot space with RPM Events. DC foodies still have a bit of a wait between them and RPM Steak; the eatery is on deck to open at some point in 2027.

Paul Dougherty, the president of PRP Real Assets-the firm that finalized the deal bringing the restaurant to the Archives-Memorial Metro station-believes that RPM Steak will become a bright spot in the DC dining scene. He states: “We’re making a very big investment in the restaurant. I think it’s going to be the nicest restaurant in town, quite frankly.”

District residents are likely to echo Dougherty’s assessment. RPM strives to provide a unique and premium dining experience. The website explains: “RPM Steak is an updated take on the classic steakhouse and features nearly two dozen different cuts of beef sourced from the finest butchers across the globe.”
