Mam Mam Restaurant is coming to the Greenwood neighborhood next year. A recently filed permit shows that the Thai and Vietnamese eatery is opening a new location at 1900 E Howard Ln BLDG G, Unit 1, in 2026.
The permit displays that construction on the new location is expected to start this November and wrap up in May of 2026. The 2,106 square-foot new build is estimated to cost a whopping $550,000. Ch|at Studio is listed at the design firm running point on the look of the new Mam Mam.
The chef behind the eatery is Kristopher Hoang. What Now Austin reached out to Chef Kris about the new opening, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
Mam Mam is part of Wingman Kitchens, a shared commercial kitchen space inside Springdale General. The eatery opened in March of last year, and began with offering Southeast Asian-inspired dishes like papaya salad and Hat Yai fried chicken.
The moniker “mam mam” is an affectionate phrase that Vietnamese parents use when feeding their children. That’s what Mam Mam has been doing for the community since it opened its doors last year.
The updated menu includes a variety of main dishes, like the pork belly vermicelli bowl, chicken & rice, and apps like fish sauce wings. The eatery also offers catering.
