Good Intentions Bar & Restaurant, a locally owned eatery and bar, is getting ready to open in Beaumont at 410 E 6th Street.
Owner Alicia Faulkner tells What Now Orange County that the restaurant is expected to open in early 2026 and will feature an American-themed kitchen offering wings with specialty rubs and sauces, as well as burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Guests can expect a happy hour Monday through Friday, a mug club with rotating seasonal drink discounts, and a laid-back atmosphere with music and televised sports.
Faulkner, a Beaumont resident since 2011, said she wanted to create a welcoming space where everyone feels at home. The menu will highlight fresh, made-to-order comfort food, including spinach artichoke dip, onion ring towers, and calamari, with a focus on quality and community connection. She also plans to host holiday events and local partnerships to engage the neighborhood.
“I called it Good Intentions because I want a place where everyone feels welcome,” Faulkner tells What Now Orange County. “Everything will be freshly made to order, and I’d like to do special events for holidays and work with the community whenever possible.”
Good Intentions Bar & Restaurant will be one of the first new businesses to open as part of Beaumont’s downtown economic development project, which aims to transform the area near Sixth Street into a destination for dining and entertainment. The effort coincides with the city’s revitalization of the nearby Beaumont Nights market event, which features local vendors, food, and live entertainment each spring and summer.
The restaurant will operate 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday, catering to both daytime diners and late-night guests. Faulkner says the concept is designed to serve as a comfortable neighborhood gathering spot with something for everyone.
