A familiar fast-casual favorite is headed to Folsom.
California Burrito is opening its twentieth location in the former Carl’s Jr. space at 2515 Iron Point Rd, reports the Sacramento Business Journal. Carl’s Jr. permanently closed at that address last fall.
Founded in Sacramento more than 15 years ago by President Jaime Tobanche, California Burrito is celebrated for its low-key Mexican fare, including a variety of classic dishes like tacos, burritos, nachos, tostadas, and enchiladas.
According to its website, the company currently operates 19 locations throughout Northern California, including sites in Citrus Heights, Carmichael, Lodi, Galt, Fairfield, Vacaville, and Antioch.
Although representatives for the eatery could not be reached for comment at the time of publication, business filings submitted in August confirm that California Burrito is officially in the works in Folsom.
