After announcing the construction of a new restaurant earlier this year, the Louisiana-based Sombreros Mexican Restaurant is expanding again by adding a third location and its first in Lafayette. Set to be located in a former Chili’s at 1734 West Pinhook Rd., the new location will offer the same Tex-Mex favorites as the two current locations in Alexandria and Walker. According to Developing Lafayette, the space is currently under construction, and the restaurant is slated to open in early December. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
In July, What Now New Orleans reported on plans to move the current Sombreros location in Walker to a bigger new build, which broke ground earlier this year. The new location will have more than 2,000 square feet of additional space, including a patio and banquet room. The new Walker location will also have a drive-through window, which the current Walker location does not have.
