A true farm-to-table restaurant in Charleston, Herd Provisions, has announced an unexpected closure after the Thanksgiving celebrations. The restaurant will serve its final meal at the end of November and will focus on hosting all previously scheduled events through December.

Charleston’s Herd Provisions to Close at Month’s End

Located on Grove St, Charleston, Herd Provisions is one of the first farm-to-table restaurants and whole-animal butcher shops in the city. Operated by Alec Bradford, the restaurant has dedicated its commitment to connecting its customers with nature and the food it provides.

Known for its unique experience and sustainable beliefs, the restaurant features humanely raised meats. The high-quality meat at the restaurant is directly sourced from Alec’s very own Leaping Waters Farm in Southwest Virginia.

Through an Instagram post, the restaurant shared the heartbreaking news of its closure. “Our final day of regular service will be November 29th, and throughout December, we will shift our focus entirely to previously scheduled events,” wrote the restaurant.

According to the official post, the restaurant will continue its operations and will still be available for pickups of Thanksgiving pre-orders: “Thanksgiving pre-orders will still be available for pickup on November 26th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.”

Furthermore, the restaurant assured, “All guests who have pre-booked large parties will continue to be fully accommodated.”
