A former barbecue pop-up residency at the Trackside Bar in Pearl River is becoming a brick-and-mortar spot in Bay St. Louis. According to a post on Facebook, the Trackside Bar stopped allowing children earlier this fall, and that pivot away from family clientele resulted in Boonies BBQ & Catfish leaving the bar. However, the owners have secured a brick-and-mortar location at 10408 Highway 603 in Bay St. Louis and are currently hiring staff for Boonies on the Bayou. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

Boonies menus show the restaurant offers a wide range of barbecue classics, including smoked chicken wings, brisket, pork butt, turkey, ribs, and sausage links. Side dishes included potato salad, baked beans, fried okra, coleslaw, collard greens, and mac-and-cheese.
