Verde at Cooley Station, a 23-acre mixed-use destination in Gilbert, will mark the completion of construction with an official ribbon cutting ceremony and two-day grand opening celebration Dec. 5-6.
The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce will join Verde at Cooley Station for the ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. Following the ribbon cutting, attendees can enjoy a variety of festivities including Disney Princess appearance and face painting, a moonlit movie screening and live comedy show. There will also be a “Verde Crawl” promotion with Verde’s tenants and up to $4,000 in prizes. In partnership with Artlink, the Verde Mural Project will debut its virtual art tour of the murals around Verde.
Saturday’s lineup includes yoga on the green, appearances by Phoenix Suns dancers and Go the Gorilla, the official Phoenix Suns mascot, a magician, live music, additional giveaways and more. All day activities include a bounce house, golf simulator, playground, interactive vendors, photo ops and basketball truck. The bands The Chadwicks and Soulitify will round out the night on the Earnhardt Hyundai San Tan Pavilion Stage from 6-9 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to officially commemorate this milestone with the Gilbert community,” said Norman Brody, a managing partner in a statement. “Verde at Cooley Station was designed as a gathering place to bring people together, and we’re excited to officially welcome locals and visitors alike to enjoy all that this destination has to offer.”
The grand opening celebrates the center’s contribution to Gilbert’s thriving commercial landscape and the expanded dining, retail and entertainment options now available to the community.
Verde at Cooley Station features a diverse array of restaurants, retail shops, professional office space, health and wellness facilities and residential apartments, all centered around a community park. The development’s design encourages walkability and community engagement, with the central green space serving as a hub for regular events and activities that bring residents and visitors together.
