Known for its unique assortment of donuts, including croissant-donut “Mikronuts”, Miko’s Donuts in Broussard is adding a second location in Lafayette. In addition to both classic and modern donuts, Miko’s Donuts also sells kolaches, savory stuffed croissants, breakfast tacos, and baked wraps. The donut shop also has traditional and signature café drinks. The address of the new location has not been officially disclosed, but the company teased the location in a Scooby Doo-themed video. According to the official website, married couple Trey and Julie Mikolajczyk founded Miko’s Donuts more than five years ago. Julie’s family had owned a donut shop in Lafayette for more than 20 years. The couple traveled around the country to develop their donut recipes before quitting full-time jobs to open Miko’s Donuts.
